Edie Sonn, MPP
Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs
Edie Sonn is responsible for government relations and communications at Pinnacol Assurance, Colorado’s state-chartered workers’ compensation carrier. When she joined the ACT team she was responsible for strategic initiatives for the Center for Improving Value in Health Care. She has spent more than 20 years working on health policy issues on behalf of organizations in virtually every facet of the health care industry, as well as on braid-based health reform in the policy and political arenas.
Edie has been directly involved in seminal health policy development sin Colorado, including helping to develop Colorado’s SIM grant, staffing the Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform and helping to lead the successful 2004 tobacco tax campaign to fund health programs.
At Pinnacol, one of her interests is integrating behavioral health into the company’s wellness and population health management initiatives. Edie holds a master of public policy degree from Duke University, and was a bachelor of arts graduate and a Boettcher Scholar at Colorado College.
